Feel It! De Expo 2022

Feel It! De Expo is a yearly exhibition in which art and music come together. Five visual artists and two music producers create a microcosm that invites the audience to connect to the theme, to art and to each other. We invite artists from different visual art disciplines to exhibit their art. Custom-made music is produced for each of the artworks by Simone Tijdink and Irwan van Wingerden from Blabla Sounds. The combination of music and visual art together creates an immersive experience in which the audience can deeply connect to the art. Feel It! De Expo 2022 will be the second edition of this event. The theme for this edition will be: the relationship between people and technology. The event will take place in Autumn. Keep an eye on this page and our socials for further updates. See Feel It! De Expo 2021 below to get an impression of the first edition.

Feel It! Short Film Festival 2023

Blabla Sounds will organize Feel It! Short Film Festival in 2023. For this festival we will invite various local filmmakers to make a short film about their experience of a common theme. The theme will be the relationship between the Netherlands and other countries around the world. Several of the filmmakers we invite have roots in one or more of these countries. Blabla Sounds will produce the music for each of these films. The festival will consist of film screenings and activities that support and deepen the audience's understanding of the films. Of course there will also be music and lots of networking opportunities! Keep an eye on this page and our socials for the date and location of this event.

Feel It! De Expo 2021 ADE

In 2021, Blabla Sounds and Gigstarter presented the first edition of Feel It! De Expo, an exhibition in which art and music come together. Feel It! De Expo was part of the Arts and Culture program of Amsterdam Dance Event. Five visual artists and two music producers created a microcosm that invited the audience to connect to their surroundings, to art and to each other.

The artworks consisted of tapestries (Marian Genet), a water and light installation (Michiel Kingma), spray-can-mixed-media art (Cheyla Dortland), photography and paint (Lara-Leh Bogaard) and film (Lennox Schmidt). Simone Tijdink and Irwan van Wingerden from Blabla Sounds produced custom-made music for each of the artists. The audience accessed the music through QR codes and headphones.

We had many surprises planned during the evenings, including a co-created live action painting between Cheyla Dortland and the audience and live music. Gigstarter hosted the evenings on Friday and Saturday with musicians from their platform. These evenings were the perfect opportunity for our artists and audience to connect and network amongst each other.
