Our input

Blabla Sounds did the audio post production and composed and produced the track of the last scene and credits, in which roller skate collective Head over Wheels is dancing. The scene mainly portrays the joy, freedom and togetherness that women feel when they rollerskate. To capture this sentiment, we composed an intro to the scene of tender classical piano, followed by a cheerful funk/discotrack, complete with silly but sensitive disco strings. We captured the playful energy of the roller skaters with catchy lead melodies. We added psychedelic funk elements through delayed keys and wah wah guitar as an ode to the 1970s, with an added dreamy effect to match the slow-motion images. Like the documentary itself, the soundtrack is a travel through time, with 70s funk guitar, bass and strings, 90s talk box riffs and timeless classical piano.
